The most important questions to ask yourself, plus how to build a passion-filled business
Did I LIVE?
Did I LOVE?
Did I MATTER?
Those who have listened to Brendon Burchard’s Million Dollar Messenger are no doubt familiar with those questions he asked himself on the brink of a near death experience.
Today, I can unequivocally shout “Yes!” to all those questions. For much of my life, I feel like I’ve been outrunning the devil, though not always sure what I was running toward. I’ve just always felt this internal pressure to squeeze the most out of every day.
Maybe because, like my friend who is celebrating her birthday in heaven today, my time on this earth…
Maybe because my soul knows I have much to do in this lifetime and not a helluva lot of time to make it happen (though I try not to think about it).
Maybe because I’m a child of immigrants who have always felt pressure to show we deserve and are grateful to be here.
Maybe ’cause I’m just crazy like that.
I don’t want to put that on you too. But if you’re here and reading this, I hope it’s because some of my neuroses about making the most of this one life inspires you to follow your joy, to live and love as big and as boldly as you can today.
LIVE and LOVE like you MATTER. Because you really do.

Building a passion-filled business
"They’re my family now."
That's the line that struck out at me as I listened to a podcast interview I did a while back, for The Unforget Yourself Show.
It's interesting to hear some of the words coming out of my mouth because so much of it was just stream of consciousness, but this is so true. My clients are my family now and I am so committed to them that it has challenged me to grow in ways I never planned or imagined.
If you want to know a little bit more about my journey to book coach, what I’ve learned along the way, what working with me looks like, and how I've been able to grow a passion-filled business, this is a great episode to listen to. And if you're a coach or consultant, I gotta admit that listening to this talk might especially serve you too.
Some of the things we talked about:
Scaling up and letting go
Being OK with the messiness
What works as you start to grow a business
Which part of it gets harder
And always, where do the opportunities lie
Just be you
I’ve been bingeing on Lubalin. For word nerds like me his lyrics are top shelf. I had to know more, so I looked him up. I discovered that not only was he a wonderful musician, but he’s also Canadian! What is it with this water, anyway?
Turns out he's not only a brilliant musician, but he’s also hilarious. Check out his Internet drama reels that landed him on Jimmy Fallon.
Personally, I have on days and off days when it comes to showing up “live” on Instagram. I love taking the time to create more thoughtful content versus ad-libbing with a camera recording.
But this inspires me as an artist to have more fun and show up more fully and completely and dynamically because there are so many sides to us. Don’t you want to get to know them all?
