This Week’s Big Win (and What You Can Steal From It)
Guess what — my book is on its second print run.
It’s almost sold out on Amazon Canada. (In one of the most competitive book launch weeks in the calendar year.)
And this week, I’m flying to New York for another book launch party, book signing, and some quality time with my mom. 🥰
It’s the kind of moment you dream about as an author, right?
But here’s the truth:
This didn’t happen by magic—or luck.
It took years of planning, preparation, and knowing exactly how to position the book before it ever hit the shelves.
Even with all that in place, I’m still learning.
For example:
➡️ Hiring a publicist is powerful—but only if your foundation is solid. That means having a clear personal brand, a story that resonates, and messaging that aligns with what your readers (and the media) actually want.
➡️ I spent the past YEAR prepping this launch—and it still wasn’t “enough.” So often, authors rush to market, thinking momentum alone will carry the book. But the truth? Successful launches are built on strategy, stamina, and story.
You’ve heard the saying, “It took 20 years to become an overnight success.”
Well, that’s real.
And it’s why, whether my clients are aiming for a literary agent or self-publishing their book with me, we start with strategy from day one. The book itself is just the beginning — it’s what you build around it that creates real impact.
So if a book is even flickering on your horizon — whether it’s a story you need to tell, a message you’re ready to lead with, or a brand you want to expand…
Now is the time to start thinking like a strategist, not just a writer.
Now is the time to build your roadmap.
